International Justice Mission: One of my favorites!

Happy Movie Monday!

This week I’m sharing the 15th anniversary video from International Justice Mission.  They are absolutely one of my favorite organizations.

Vision: To rescue thousands, protect millions and prove that justice for the poor is possible.™

The video marks their 15th year of operations – and their 15th field office.

International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that brings rescue to victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to secure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to ensure that public justice systems – police, courts and laws – effectively protect the poor.

Obviously you can see why I love them.  Watch their video below – founder, Gary Haugen was the lead investigator in Rwanda in 1994.  His job was to document the bodies, the fallen victims in the horrendous genocide that swept the country.

IJM believes the organization will have the largest influence when it has the best, most widely respected people in the industry, and their corporate-like attitude illustrates this mentality.  As their suit-and-tie (or heels!) dresscode implies, the office is run very professionally – and this might be an approach that works well for your organization!  Promoting your brand is important, and if your organization works on behalf of others (and acts as a liaison to a private or governmental office), then operating as corporate-like as possible could help with your image and credibility.

Watch the 15th Anniversary Video below!  Congrats IJM!
